Rebel Freshman

The past few weeks I’ve been extremely busy working on the web presence for a new ministry of Providence College Ministry called Rebel Freshman. The purpose of the study is to show students that spending hours partying, having self-centered religion, and rebelling against your parents isn’t exactly rebellion but rather conformity to what the world says you should be doing. The study goes on to show that to follow Christ is true rebellion and that by losing our life, we actually gain new life.

It was a great privilege and opportunity to work with the folks at my church to make this site a reality. They have some creative guys making the videos and several of the graphic elements – I’m gad I could just bring it all together for them. Go check out rebelfreshman.com and I’ve included one of my favorite videos from the project below.

My 28th Birthday

I turned 28 back in July and LaBranda had a few friends over a few days later to celebrate my birthday. We had some good desserts and played some fun games. I’m very thankful for my friends who really are more like family than just “friends”.

Phil & Sybil Get Engaged!

A couple of Saturdays ago, LaBranda and I, along with another friend Julie, helped Phil pull off an awesome proposal to his now fiancée Sybil. Julie and LaBranda setup the picknick tables with tons of candles, had a bowl of ice and diet coke, and a cooler with ice cream from Coldstone – Sybil’s favorite. Phil’s task for me – hide in the bushes and take photos of the whole event.

Once he texted to let us know he was getting close I hid in some bushes over in the corner of this nice little park area to take covert photos. I kept ducking and trying to avoid being seen.

In the photo above you should note the classic “cover the face” pose of Sybil. This was a sign she was totally excited!

Yeah she’s totally checking out her diamond!

Now she’s asking who helped him pull all of this off?

This is definitely the “Holy Crap We’re Getting Married!” face.

Congratulations Phil & Sybil! We’re so excited for you guys!

Branson’s 1st Birthday
