Wrecked Explorer
Explorer got rear ended this morning on the way into work. Thankfully every one is ok but we’ll see how serious the damage is to my car. It doesn’t look bad from the photos, however, you never know if there is frame damage.

(CBS) ROCHESTER, N.Y. It was the stuff of Hollywood, but it was real.

The other day I was looking through some older photos as I was restoring things to my hard drive and ran across this parking meter. For some reason, this struck a cord with me. Am I like this parking meter? Do I keep putting the quarters of life in, hoping to avoid this state of being expired? You see, no matter how many quarters you put in, eventually they run out.
It was then the Spirit reminded me that my Lord and Savior is there to fill me up with a love and a passion that will never expire.
Lord will you please fill me with your passion. Allow me to seek after the things you have for me. Allow me to simply love and never feel “expired”. Until your glorious return.
Now you might ask, where have you been? Well on Sunday, the hard drive in my laptop died - totally. We’re talking shards of the drive lying in the casing. This is one of those times that “catastrophic” failure applies.
Thankfully I have an Apple Protection Plan on my Powerbook, thus not a dime had to be spent. Now I just have to handle getting all of my apps and stuff back on here. I had almost everything backed up except for some photos from my grandparents’ 50th wedding anniversary :-o. Say a prayer for me I think I might get voted out of the family for this.
In other news I received quite an honor at the end of last week. I’ve been selected to represent the Computer Science Department to the University’s Web Advisory Committee. We are being charged with overhauling the University’s website. This should be fun, however the committee is huge and that can always make things difficult.
