It is the summer and well during the summer things get all out of the ordinary routine. This reeks havoc for someone who is very much a planner. Karoline keeps telling me I need to be less of a planner and more of a “fly by the seat of your pants” kind of guy but I’ll be honest – that just isn’t my style! As much as I want to be laid back and happy go lucky, I’m a planner through and through. I have my mom to thank for this endearing quality
. But it isn’t all bad . . . at least when big events come along my God given talents get to shine through as I think through detail after detail.
In other news, I found out this week that my good ‘ole buddy Shem will be returning to the USA on July 18th. I can’t wait to have my other roommate and good friend back on local soil. It is hard to talk to a good friend only online or via sparse phone calls. Here’s looking forward to a safe return for Shem.
I know, a very random post but well I’m just trying to get the writing juices flowing again
. I’m out to Denver for the night and tomorrow to see dad for father’s day. I’m excited to get to see my family but also excited that Karoline is headed home with me. This will be her first trip to the “Dirty D” so she’ll get to see where I grew up and why I am who I am (for better or for worse).
