Rebel Freshman

The past few weeks I’ve been extremely busy working on the web presence for a new ministry of Providence College Ministry called Rebel Freshman. The purpose of the study is to show students that spending hours partying, having self-centered religion, and rebelling against your parents isn’t exactly rebellion but rather conformity to what the world says you should be doing. The study goes on to show that to follow Christ is true rebellion and that by losing our life, we actually gain new life.

It was a great privilege and opportunity to work with the folks at my church to make this site a reality. They have some creative guys making the videos and several of the graphic elements – I’m gad I could just bring it all together for them. Go check out rebelfreshman.com and I’ve included one of my favorite videos from the project below.

Nice work.

The study finder tool looks very similar to something I did for Summit small groups.

Are reading from a database or a spreadsheet?

Reading from a MySQL database and then generating an XML feed to create the map data.

Cool. If you’re interested, I can show you how to do it from a shared google docs spreadsheet, so that it’s easier to add/delete/update rows.
