Two Week Update
Appears that I’m on a two week update cycle as of late. Past few weeks have been pretty busy both with work and personal life. They haven’t exactly lent themselves to placing me in a mood to share what was going on in my life. Needless to say - God has once again proven Himself victorious and supreme over all that Satan may try to throw at Him and us as His children.
GMail SSL Feature
My friend John shot this article: Why You Should Turn Gmail’s SSL Feature On Now over to me this morning about GMail’s new SSL feature. SSL is a level of security that encrypts communication over the internet. It is most easily identified by the https:// in the browser URL as opposed to http://. This SSL feature is important especially on open wireless networks (Starbucks, Random open location, NCSU’s wireless network, etc) where anyone could be sniffing your traffic.

Return for the “lord of the wake”
This past Thursday marked the end of a 6 week ordeal for my good buddy Shem. You see, six weeks ago Shem was out wake boarding before we left for Impact. Upon landing face first into the water, he came up with blood running from his eye. Upon inspection from a doctor, he had cut a 10mm incesion into the outer layer of his eye. His course of treatment? Six weeks of no strenuous activity - ie. 6 weeks with no wake boarding.
With the end of this ordeal - we returned to the same lake, on the same boat to mark the joyful end of Shem’s infirmity.
Mark also got his first shot at wake boarding on Saturday and did amazingly well!
Of course, a sampling of the photos from the rest of the day can be found in the Wakeboarding gallery. I hope to be adding some more photos later this week as I get a chance to go through them.
Lake Baptism
My church has an annual lake baptism service out at Falls Lake north of Raleigh. Last year was the first year I attended and I promised myself that I would make it again this year! I was able to snag some awesome photos last year and willingly waded out into the lake with camera in hand to take some more photos.
